End of a Unit Assessment:
International Baccalaureate Program supports authentic assessments and hands on assignments. After each of six units, students are assigned a project. During a unit of study that tipically lasts for several weeks, I prepare them for the final project. We study words, do hands on activities, do group discussions, and take trips.
On first pictures students were assigned to pick a house from around the world and make a model of it. On other pictures students were asked to create a technology piece from the future.
Hands On Assessments:
We do a lot of hands on activities during which students enjoy creating new things.
Creating butterfly life cycle using pasta.
Creating a food plate while learning about healthy foods.

Homework Assessment:
I use a cute dog house. All the puppies play in the backyard until student doesn't turn in his or her homework. Then his or her puppy gets into a dog house. Puppies that still play in the backyard at the end of the week receive a reward.
